Stranglehold MTG Card: No More Library Searches
The Stranglehold MTG card is useful in very specific situations. It prevents your opponents from searching their libraries or using spells or abilities that grant them an extra turn (i.e. Time Warp.) Cards that perform the latter, while quite potent, are fairly rare so this card so this card is mostly used to prevent players from searching their libraries, which is fairly common in black, green, and sometimes white decks. Since not every deck has cards that allow the player to search their libraries, the best place for this card would be the sideboard.
Watch the Stranglehold MTG card in action
It’s a bit difficult to cook up a situation in Forge when the Stranglehold will prevent an opponent from searching his/her library. Had I gotten it out a few turns before the Heliod’s Pilgrim, you would have seen it in action.
