Moat MTG Card: The Ultimate Defense Against Land Creatures
As you probably know, flying creatures can only be blocked by other flying creatures (and those with reach) although they can generally block non-flying creatures as well. The Moat MTG card is an Enchantment that will prevent ALL non-flying creatures from ever attacking, as long as Moat is in play. Since this affects all players, not just your opponents, it’s best used if the vast majority of your creatures are flying and your opponents’ aren’t.
Since most players are not using an army of mostly flying creatures, it’s pretty safe to assume that this card will come in handy so I recommend putting it in your main deck instead of your sideboard. And in the event you run into someone whose creatures are almost entirely flying, you can simply swap it out for something on your sideboard for the next game. Blue and White decks tend to have the biggest concentration of flying creatures while Green tends to have the least so you’d want to have other cards on your sideboard that can effectively deal with Blue and White flyers.

Here’s a game that I ended up prolonging due to the Moat I had in play. My Green opponent didn’t have any flying creatures but I didn’t have that many creatures either so I cycled through dozens of rounds before drawing a 5/5 dragon that finished her off.
Example Combo
Humility is a White enchantment. that makes all creatures 1/1 without abilities. This means nobody’s creatures will be able to attack. If THEN you play Levitation, a Blue enchantment that gives all of your creatures flying, you’ll be able to attack but your opponent without fear of being blocked but your opponent won’t be able to attack you back.
